My Vintage Kitchen BOM

Welcome to the My Vintage Kitchen BOM! You should bookmark this page now for future reference because here is where you’ll find the links to all the different blocks and posts about this BOM along with the linky party.

It’s kinda a mystery. LOL Here’s what the layout looks like

The finished size will be 32″ square.

Let’s talk about the blocks.
The background – some will be just a plain solid square that we’ll build on; others will be very easily pieced (think two or three pieces).
On top of that we will be appliqueing – feel free to use your method of choice. Mine will be raw edge because I’m going to be doing embroidery around the edges and that’s the look I’m personally going for. But if you prefer needle turn do it! However, you will have to add your seam allowance to the pieces first. If you prefer the ease of raw edge but don’t want the frayed edges, you can use fabric mod podge to avoid the fraying.
As a finishing touch to the blocks we will be adding in a bit of hand embroidery. Don’t worry it’s nothing hard or complicated! If you can hand sew you can do this simple embroidery I’m including on these blocks – there’s no fancy or complicated stitches.
